Hi, I’m Fredi Baker, and truth be told, I am a “green geek.” Welcome to GetGoingGetGreen!™ On Earth Day 2010, I challenged my self to post every Thursday for a year in my brand new blog, MyGreenAdventure. (For everyone who has followed me here – thank you!) And, here I am, 2 years and over 105 posts later, beginning what I hope will be an even bigger adventure. Because I realize that it is so much more than my adventure – it is everyone’s. My old challenge was to learn more about becoming greener, and truthfully, I believe that is a life-long commitment. Now it is time to do more to raise awareness, create community and make a bigger difference everyday. To branch out, let others geek out on all things green as well, and share that with you.

Even though I am fascinated by sustainability and being a good steward to the planet, I am by no means an expert on this subject. In fact, I am a writer and a Master Certified Coach, and my clients are coaches, entrepreneurs, writers and other creative folk. (Funny thing? Many of them care deeply about the environment as well.) I work with them to find and develop their own unique creative purpose and message and bring it out into the world, often through writing.

I am passionate about helping others take a stand for what they believe in, no matter what that is, and giving back in a meaningful way. Kind of like I am doing here. Another thing I am passionate about is creating environmental awareness in a way that is inspiring and positive. This is not the site for doom and gloom and what we can’t/won’t do – it is the place for learning about what each of us can do. Each and everyday.
